The west of Cyprus is the quiet half. Paphos carries more than two thousand years of history as a UNESCO World Heritage site, and just up the coast the Akamas peninsula stays roughly the way it has always been, all gorge, scrub and turquoise water with no road through the middle of it.
A week lets you take it properly: the harbour and the mosaics, the hill villages, a boat day on the Akamas, and enough beach time in between. Base yourself near Paphos for the first half, then drift north toward Latchi for the wilder days.
Day 1
Morning
Ease in along the harbour and the medieval fort, then into the Archaeological Park for the Roman villa mosaics, among the finest in the Mediterranean.
Afternoon
A swim and a long lunch by the water.
Evening
Dinner in Kato Paphos, an easy first night.
Day 2
Morning
The Tombs of the Kings, monumental rock-cut tombs above the sea, are best in the cooler morning light.
Afternoon
North to Coral Bay for the day, the most family-friendly stretch of sand in the area.
Evening
Sunset drinks looking out toward the Akamas.
Day 3
Morning
Drive to Petra tou Romiou, the sea stack where Aphrodite is said to have risen from the foam, then up into the wine villages of the Paphos hills.
Afternoon
Lunch in a village taverna and a wander through Omodos or Panagia.
Evening
Back to base for a quiet evening.
Day 4
Morning
Move your base toward Latchi and Polis. Take a boat from Latchi harbour along the Akamas coast to the Blue Lagoon for swimming and snorkelling.

More time in the water, or a stroll around Polis.
Evening
Fresh fish on the Latchi waterfront.
Day 5
Morning
Walk the Aphrodite or Adonis nature trail from the Baths of Aphrodite, with long views back over Chrysochous Bay. Go early, before the heat.

Cool down at a quiet northern beach.
Evening
A slow village dinner inland.
Day 6
Morning
The Avakas Gorge narrows to a dramatic slot you can walk through; pair it with the open Lara beach, a protected turtle nesting site.

One last long swim.

Somewhere special for your final dinner.
Day 7
Morning
A final harbour coffee and any corner you want to revisit.
Afternoon
Paphos airport is close, which makes the last day genuinely relaxed.
