Limassol works well for families who prefer short hops and plenty of sand. The marina and the Molos seafront are walkable from a coastal base, free playgrounds line the promenade, and the beaches stay shallow enough for little paddlers. When you want a bigger day out, Fasouri Watermania and Kourion Beach are within half an hour by car.
This four day plan keeps mornings easy and afternoons free for swimming or shade. A car helps for the water park and the western beaches, but the seafront itself works entirely on foot if you base yourself near the marina or the Molos.
Day 1
Morning
Begin at Limassol Marina with coffee overlooking the yachts. The boardwalk is flat and open, ideal for pushchairs and first explorations, and the cafes serve simple breakfasts that suit every age. Take your time and let the children watch the boats come and go.
Afternoon
Continue on foot or by short taxi to the Molos seafront and sculpture park. Free public playgrounds appear at intervals along the promenade, so there is always somewhere for the children to climb while adults rest in the shade. End with a swim on one of the shallow, family-friendly beaches that run beside Akti Olympion.
Evening
Dinner near the marina or the old town edge. Order something everyone can share, then walk back along the water as the evening cools. Keep the first night light so the week starts gently.
Day 2
Morning
Drive west to Fasouri Watermania, about fifteen minutes from central Limassol. Arrive early to secure sunbeds by the children's pools and splash zones. The park balances gentle slides for toddlers with larger rides for older kids, and shade is plentiful if you claim a good spot.
Afternoon
Stay through the afternoon heat with breaks for ice creams and lunch at the park restaurants. Rotate between the wave pool, the lazy river and quieter corners as energy levels change. When everyone has had enough, the drive back is short and straightforward.
Evening
Return to your villa or the seafront for a simple dinner. Early beds suit most families after a full day of sun and water, so keep the evening close to home.
Day 3
Morning
Spend the morning at Limassol Zoo inside the Municipal Garden. The collection is compact and the paths are shady, which helps with younger children and grandparents alike. There is space for a picnic if you pack snacks and drinks.
Afternoon
Wander the rest of the Municipal Garden after the animals, then head into the old town for ice cream. The lanes near Limassol Castle hold several gelaterias and cafes where you can sit while the children explore nearby. The area is small enough to manage without rushing.
Evening
Choose a taverna in the old town for meze or grilled dishes that please a mixed group. If your villa is near the seafront you can walk back, or take a short taxi. The evening light on the Molos makes a pleasant last stretch.
Day 4
Morning
Drive to Kourion Beach, roughly thirty minutes west of Limassol. The bay is wide, the sand soft, and the water remains shallow for a long way out, perfect for sandcastles and confident paddling. Set up shade early and settle in for an unhurried morning.
Afternoon
If the group has energy left, the ancient site of Kourion sits on the cliffs above the beach and is worth a short visit for the amphitheatre and sea views. Otherwise stay put for more swimming and shade. A car is useful both for the journey and for carrying beach kit.
Evening
Head back to Limassol for a final family dinner near the marina or along the Molos. Keep it relaxed and close to the water so the week ends as it began, with sea air and no rush.
